In addition to the fine views this small and special park offers, there are two spectacular areas to explore. The short and steep Broken Oak trail is home to a character study of the twists and contortions Oaks make to seek the light.
The Mazanita Trail and loop is home to the rare Alameda Manzanita. The manzanita in the loop create a colorful and unique canopy of wavy and muscular branches. The manzanita flowers in winter, creating vital nourishment for the nectar feeders in the food chain.
